Ubisoft Quietly Refunds Skull And Bones Pre-Orders On The PlayStation Store

After delaying Skull and Bones for the sixth time, Ubisoft has once again dashed the hopes of one group of players hoping to see the pirate MMORPG launch within their lifetimes. The studio is reportedly issuing refunds for all pre-orders of the game on the PlayStation Store with no prior announcement.

Players have also confirmed that the game is no longer purchasable from Sony’s storefront but is still available for wishlisting. This game seems to have only been delisted from the PlayStation Store though as its still available for pre-order on the Xbox Store and the Epic Games Store.

Without an official statement from Ubisoft, it’s hard to tell how this will affect Skull and Bones’ launch schedule on PlayStation 5. We’re still a year away from the game’s expected launch though, so there’s still a glimmer of hope that PlayStation users will see the game launch at the same time as everyone else, whenever that may be.
