Skull And Bones Plans Open Beta Weekend The Week Before Its Official Launch

Ubisoft is gearing up for Skull and Bones’ highly awaited and long-delayed launch with an open beta weekend next month. The playtest will run from February 8-11 and will be open to everyone on all platforms, with full cross-play and cross-progression between PC and console versions.
If getting to try the game ahead of its launch isn’t incentive enough, Ubisoft will also be granting open beta testers up to five exclusive in-game rewards that they’ll be able to take with them to the live game should they decide that its worth the $59.99 box price. Rewards include ship cosmetics, an exclusive emote, a free pet, and more.
Skull and Bones’ launch will also mark the start of the year-long Rise of the Kingpins theme and first of its four seasonal content updates planned for the year. Each season will feature its own narrative and will introduce a new pirate that will serve as the main antagonist of the season.
Season 1: Raging Tides will introduce the pirate lord Le Peste who has the ability to “rain poison from the sky, while Season 2: Chorus of Havoc will introduce the deadly Hubac twins. Information about Season 3: Dragons Wake and Season 4: Shadows of the Deep is promised at a later date.
Skull and Bones will officially be launching on February 16 on PC via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time it looks like the real deal.
