Skull And Bones Closed Beta Testers Waged Over Half A Million Naval Battles

Skull and Bones’ long-delayed closed beta test, while brief, turned out to be a relative success with no major issues reported over the four-day playtest. Testers, however, apparently made the most out of those four days, waging nearly 550,000 naval battles that resulted in the sinking of over 750,000 ships.
Ubisoft also reported that players collectively sailed a distance equal to 70 times around the Earth. 810 players were also fell victim to ravenous sea monsters lurking beneath the depths of Skull and Bones’ virtual seas.
The French publisher has yet to announce when the next phase of testing will begin but wannabe-pirates are encouraged to sign up for the Ubisoft Insider Program for a chance to receive invites. The game itself is still slated to launch sometime after the turn of Ubisoft’s fiscal year, which means sometime after October.
