Bossa Studios announced today that sign-ups are now open for Worlds Adrift's "biggest playtest ever." From now until November 18th, you can sign up for the playtest on the official website. The playtest itself will begin "later this month."

Major additions and changes being introduced during this playtest include the Shipyard, which allows players more control over their ship designs, improvements to the UI and controls, framerate improvements, new creatures, and more. Players will also be able to progress by means of "the Knowledge tree," which allows them "to build proficiency in certain skills." They will also be able to find "ancient databanks filled with rewards," as well as "unlock pieces of lore" that will teach them about the world that they are exploring.

In preparation for the upcoming playtest, Bossa has launched a major update to its Island Creator. Users can now hide containers, chests, databanks, murals, and more within their islands. Should their islands be added to the game, these hidden objects will spawn in the same place in the live game.

You can find more information about Worlds Adrift and its upcoming playtest on the official website.
