Ships At Sea Is A Multiplayer Maritime Simulator Launching Into Early Access In May

Nautical-themed games seem to be the rage these days as another one prepares to set sail into the unpredictable seas of early access. Cue Ships at Sea, a multiplayer version of the popular commercial fishing simulation game Fishing: North Atlantic.
Ships at Sea promises to be the ultimate simulation game for marine enthusiasts and will take players on a realistic maritime adventure through the unforgiving water of the Norwegian seas with customizable boats, dynamic weather, physics-based sailing, and a whole host of other maritime simulation features.
“Players can expect a slew of features to become available through the Early Access phase of the game, such as crewmates being able to share resources and items and stock up on essential supplies for themselves and their crew,” developer Misc Games teased. “Cast your line and maintain the boats, purchase tools or equipment in the store, upgrade ships, and refuel ships at one of the fuel stations.”
The game expands on Fishing: North Atlantic with career paths outside of commercial fishing, including taking charge of cargo ships as a Skipper and performing mechanical work and repairs as Engineers. Players can even take on all three jobs if they’re up to the task.
Ships at Sea is scheduled to launch into early access on Steam and the Epic Games Store on May 9, with full release and a console launch expected in 2026.
