Sharkmob Announces Exoborne Playtest: A Tactical Extraction Shooter Combining PvPvE Action with Survival Mechanics

Sharkmob has unveiled its upcoming game, Exoborne, a tactical extraction shooter that combines PvPvE combat with survival elements in a world reshaped by catastrophic natural forces. Scheduled for a closed playtest on February 12–17 via Steam, the event offers PC players an early opportunity to experience this ambitious project.

Exoborne transports players to Colton County, a land ravaged by extreme weather and conflict. Players assume the role of the “Reborn,” survivors equipped with customizable Exo-Rigs that serve as both survival tools and combat platforms. These powerful rigs allow players to navigate dangerous terrain, adapt to unpredictable environmental challenges, and strategize their approach in a high-stakes extraction framework where loot can be lost as easily as it is earned.

The playtest will focus on technical stability, server performance, and early gameplay mechanics. Sharkmob’s Executive Producer Brynley Gibson highlighted the importance of this phase, noting the studio’s commitment to player feedback as they refine the game. “This is our first large-scale test, marking an exciting step forward. By collaborating with the community, we aim to gather invaluable feedback to elevate Exoborne to new heights,” Gibson said.
