UK-based development studio Hardball Games has announced a new chaotic, fast-paced, battle royale brawler codenamed Shackleton. Hardball Games is best known as the studio behind the CSR series and Split/Second racing games and the multiplayer PvP arena game, LEGO Star Wars Battles.

The game will pit 64-players against each other in free-for-all beat ‘em up matches inspired by movie fight scenes. Players will reportedly be able to pick up any item from their surroundings and use it as a weapon and destroy the environment. They’ll also grow bigger and stronger the more damage they do until they get so strong that they’ll be able to pick up cars and throw them at other players.

No release date has been announced for Shackleton but Hardball Games is now looking for testers to participate in the series of playtests that will be held over the next few weeks. The playtests will unfortunately be covered by an NDA but if you’re interested, you can go ahead and sign up on the game's official Discord.
