Secret World Legends' Free-To-Play Model Explained

When Secret World Legends launches on June 26th, it will be free to play. But it was a bit unclear exactly what would be free, so Funcom wrote a new blog post detailing the new free-to-play model.

It turns out that the model is fairly simple. There are two currencies: Aurum and Marks of Favour. Aurum is the cash shop currency, whereas Marks of Favour is the currency that is earned just by playing the game. The currencies can be traded freely, allowing those who don't spend money on the game to obtain Aurum anyways. All of the game's content can be played through for free. All abilities, items, and skills can be obtained for free; these are all purchased with Marks of Favour. Items like character slots, inventory space, vanity items, and progression boosts are purchased with Aurum.
