Sci-fi MMORPG The Repopulation Fall Roadmap Revealed
The Repopulation, a crowdfunded MMORPG that most gamers assumed for dead, is apparently still alive and kicking after HeroEngine developer Idea Fabrik assumed ownership of the game from indie studio Above and Beyond in 2017. The latest news is that the new owners are still hard at work injecting their own ideas into the game.
“This has been quite the adventure, however, working in the new design into the game and keeping the same original theme and style has been a lot of fun,” said Idea Fabrik. “It is even more fun seeing this start to take shape on Dev.”
The team says that they’re halfway done overhauling the game’s complex item system and have implemented an automation system that will make it easier to add and improve items on both the front-end and back-end systems. The new visually-upgraded GUI has also been uploaded to the dev servers for testing and should be live in the next few months, along with the full item system, improved NPC animations, and other smaller game optimizations.
