Rocket League will be launching cross-platform play between PC and Xbox One users today. Yes, it's happening. Today, at 3 PM PST, the floodgates will open and Rocket League will become the first Xbox One game to support "cross-network play" between Xbox Live and Steam.

Psyonix Vice President Jeremy Dunham had the following to say about the announcement.

We're really excited to bring Xbox One and PC players closer together. Cross-network play has been something that Xbox One gamers have been asking us for since the day we launched, and thanks to Microsoft's new cross-network policies, we're proud to give it to them.

You may remember that Rocket League previously allowed cross-platform play between PC and PS4 users. This was not mentioned in the original announcement, but a representative for Psyonix has confirmed that Xbox One players will only be able to play with PC users if no PS4 users are in the room and vice versa.
