RoboSquad Revolution Welcomes Robot-Killing Taylor Swift Parody ‘Saylor Twist’
Taylor Swift isn’t only a mainstay of Kansas City Chiefs football matches, she now also appears as a new playable character in RoboSquad Revolution, or at least a good parody of the pop superstar.
The early access free-to-play arena shooter recently welcomed “Saylor Twist” to its roster of satirical characters, a blonde robot-killer in a white beanie and a red bomber jacket emblazoned with the number 87, a nod to her in-game boyfriend Trevon Celcius. 87 also happens to be the jersey number of the real-life Tay Tay’s current boyfriend, NFL-player Travis Kelce.
RoboSquad Revolution revolves around a war between robots and humans who want to destroy them, poking fun at iconic real-world personalities with characters like Elias Tusk and Clark Suckerberg. I probably don’t need to say who those characters are meant to emulate.
“RoboSquad Revolution is a free to play third person arena shooter where you play a robot freedom fighter. Guide your robot as it assimilates the wackiness that is modern human culture. Choose from a growing arsenal of robots and modular components to assemble your hero and battle with friends against the oppressive human-controlled Zoran Task Force. Use abilities and hologram cloaking to make your mark and emerge a leader of the RoboSquad Revolution.”
The game has received “Very Positive” reviews on Steam, with players praising its fast-paced old school gunplay, bright and colorful visuals, well-balanced characters, and the fact that the developers actually listen to the community.
If you’d like to check out this underrated gem of a shooter, it’s free to download and play on Steam.
