Return Alive Kicks Off Steam Next Fest Open Beta With A New Playable Character

Earlier this year, KOG Games announced its own entry into the growing list of PvPvE extraction games in the form of a new top-down shooter aptly called Return Alive.
The game is set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland called the Abandoned Lands where you’ll take on the role of a mercenary tasked with scavenging lost tech. Along the way, you’ll face off against mutated monsters, as well as hostile players who’ll be more than happy to relieve you of your prized loot.
KOG Games held an open beta test for the extraction shooter from June 29th to July 7th and has kicked off another testing round which will run from today until October 17th as part of the ongoing Steam Next Fest event. The open beta build features four playable characters (one more than the previous beta test) and will focus mainly on the 14-player survival mode.
Those who successful make it back from their scavenging runs across the Abandoned Lands will be rewarded with currency and items that they can use to upgrade their weapons, battlesuits, equipment, and modules.
Those who want to take the game for a test run can now download the open beta client from the Return Alive Steam page.
