Rack Up Frags In Quake Champions' Closed Beta On April 6th

Quake Champions has announced that its Closed Beta test will begin on April 6th, with a limited number of players—pick me please. Bethesda racked up their information drip throughout the month of March so we probably should have seen this coming: the last piece revealed the transhuman punk champion Anarki.

If you're not in the loop, Quake Champions is a bit different than previous iterations of the series. Not only do you run around a map stacking up your arsenal of guns, but you pick a champion with their own active and passive ability, e.g. Anarki zips around the map on a hoverboard.

While I'm a bit apprehensive of hero abilities, the trailers do show off the fast-paced bloodbath I expect from a game bearing the Quake title. My fingers are crossed I get into Closed Beta and rack up frags.
