R2Games Launch Winterfrost Legacy Into Open Alpha

R2Games aren't exactly the most popular among MMORPG players currently, with automated games like Shadowbound, League of Angels, and Wartune being some of the primary games in their lineup. However, when the press release said it was "a title like no other in the R2Games library," it piqued my interest. In addition to providing "its own unique take on the classic fantasy genre," the game will supposedly focus on strategic battles with "easy-to-learn, yet challenging, hands-on gameplay." There are also said to be "no less than 8 engaging and versatile game modes" and a mercenary system.

As of Friday, the game has officially launched into open alpha and players are encouraged to try the game out while R2Games continue to work on the title. There are not yet any details on how long the test will run for or if there will be wipes but perhaps the lack of the same sort of automation that is present in their other titles will set this one apart.
