PUBG Mobile players says goodbye to millions of cheaters as PUBG Corp. brings the mighty banhammer down on over 3.8 million accounts in just one week. The cleansing took place between June 18 and June 24, that resulted in a surprising number of accounts being permanently banned from the game, 3,884,690 to be exact.

According to the update on Twitter, the main reasons for the bans were modification of character models, speed hacks, x-ray vision, modification of area damage, auto-aim, and other hacks.

While banning over 3.8 million accounts seems like an impressive feat, it also reveals how rampant cheating is in the popular battle royale shooter. Plus, being a free-to-play game, there’s really nothing stopping banned players from creating a new account to once again ruin the fun for other players.
