Project D Is An In-Development Open World Action MMORPG From Dragon Nest Devs

Earlier this month, Korean developer Hound13 announced a new multi-platform open world action MMORPG called Project D. The game caught the MMO community’s attention due to its similarities with the popular 2010 MMORPG Dragon Nest, which is to be expected considering that the studio is mostly made up of developers who worked on the game.
Like in Dragon Nest, players will be able to group up and form parties as they go adventuring in the open world, explore dungeons, and take on various bosses. The game’s combat system, however, will be a lot more similar to that of Hound13’s mobile hack-and-slash MMO Hundred Souls. Players will be able to climb on giant monsters, break enemy armor, apply debuffs, and form a team of NPCs that can synergize and work together just like Genshin Impact.
Despite their similarities, Hound13 hopes that players will take Project D as a separate game rather than a sequel to Dragon Nest. The studio has also yet to reveal a launch window for the game given that its still in the early stages of development and it’s still unclear whether Project D will be the actual title either.
In the meantime, you can watch snippets of Project D’s gameplay in the preview trailer below courtesy of MMOCulture.
