The Profane dev team continues to provide updates on the free-for-all PvP sandbox MMORPG’s development progress. In a recent livestream, viewers were treated to live gameplay footage, including character creation, and early gameplay, along with discussions about various game mechanics such as climbing and mounted combat.

Developer INSANE also emphasized that while the game is being billed as a PvP game, it isn’t necessarily PvP-focused and will have RPG elements for those who prefer PvE content. The game, however, will allow for open PvP so you’d better grow eyes on the back of your head.

The team also offered additional gameplay footage on Twitter showcasing “castaway roleplay” and guild altar functionality. The guild altar enables guilds to control specific regions and enjoy benefits like tax earnings.

Eagerly waiting fans can also check out Profane’s June development roadmap which offers insight into what the developers have been working on over the past few weeks. These include the faction and chat systems as well as progress on control points.

Meanwhile, we’re still waiting on a release date from INSANE, but there’s new gameplay footage for you to drool over and new information to digest in the state of development video below.
