PLAYERUNKNOWN's Battlegrounds Fights Lag Switch Users By Freezing Them In Place

PLAYERUNKNOWN's Battlegrounds' latest patch is here and, among other additions and changes, it includes a new, unique way of handling those who use lag switches to cheat. You see, if the game detects that you are using a lag switch, it will freeze you in place, unable to move, rotate, or attack other players. The game will make you watch helplessly as you are left defenseless. It's quite the amusing punishment, but I imagine most of said lag switch users will just Ctrl-Alt-Del their way out of the game, should it happen to them.
A previous exploit that allowed users to "remove the environment foliage by revising the .ini file" has also been fixed, as well as an issue that caused in-game sound to break "when there are too many vehicles in a small area." The team has also managed to slightly improve "the drop in FPS when there are vehicles near the character."
