SEGA has unveiled its plans for December in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis through its latest NGS Headline. The updates feature a month-long holiday celebration, the Super Genesis Festival '24, new quest types, class enhancements, and seasonal events that bring a wintery twist to the action-packed world.

December 4: ARKS Training Center, Chilly Quests, and Class Enhancements

The holiday festivities kick off with a range of new features:

• ARKS Training Center: A new quest type offering a no-pressure environment to test out actions and mechanics without time limits or rewards. Ideal for players wanting to hone their skills.
• Chilly Chase Quests:
  • Drill: 2 Chilly 2 Chase!: A high-speed, floating-board chase after the Giant Mutant Konigssee Yedi Geo, rewarding players with Super Genesis Festival '24 SP Scratch Tickets.
  • Drill: An Even Chillier Chase: A single-player variant with tougher obstacles and exclusive rewards like the Gratis Almati Weapon Camo.
• Force Class Update: Enhancements include a Rod-exclusive skill to boost Technique Potency and the introduction of Tech Arts Customization for Photon Arts and Techniques, allowing players to personalize their combat style.

Line Strike Updates

• Card Additions: 15 new cards, including popular characters like Gené and Annette, are being added to the Line Strike mode, accompanied by skills such as Progress and Vanguard Unit.
• New Decks: Two Standard Decks focused on 2nd- and 3rd-wave cards will be available in the AC Shop, expanding tactical options for players.

December 10: Super Genesis Festival '24

The holiday celebration officially begins on December 10 to mark the 3.5th anniversary of NGS. Central City transforms into a festive wonderland adorned with Christmas decorations. Players can encounter themed creatures like Reindeer Rappy, Saint Emperappy, and Saint Great Rappy. Seasonal Points can be exchanged for special holiday decorations and rewards, making this event perfect for spreading holiday cheer.

December 18: New Urgent Quests and Trials

The action heats up later in the month with:

• Urgent Quest: Co-Op Starless Suppression Op: A cooperative challenge to defeat Valvilan Axe and Valvilan Wand simultaneously.
• Saint Great Rappy Suppression: Fight the holiday-themed Saint Great Rappy under a snowy sky in the Nameless City. This limited-time trial runs through January 8, 2025, and offers exclusive rewards.
