Perfect World’s World of Jade Dynasty Shutting Down

Perfect World Entertainment announced last Friday, January 15, 2015 that they are shutting down World of Jade Dynasty for redevelopment, only 7 months after they first announced the game in June 2015. According to the publisher, they temporarily shut down the game not because they weren’t contented with how it turned out but because they want to improve its visuals. The new version of World of Jade Dynasty will be crafted using Unreal Engine 4 replacing the in-house engine originally used in development. There is no word yet on when the game will be making a comeback.
