Pearl Abyss Talks Black Desert Online's Future; New Region, Improving UI

For those of your tired of Black Desert Mobile being in the spotlight, rejoice, because your time is now! Coming to us by way of InvenGlobal, Pearl Abyss has sat down to talk about what's coming in Black Desert Online's future.
The most impressive thing to note is probably optimization. Pearl Abyss has worked hard, and they have managed to shrink the client of BDO down to 27GB, down from 51GB! It's certainly an impressive feat of development work, and players interested in trying out BDO will be glad to know their bandwidth will be spared a beating.
Additionally, new players can also expect reworked tutorials, and a "Story Book," which is a quest revamp that will provide players with currency for doing quests. Class balance is also a hot topic. Absolute Skills were recently added to KR, and Pearl Abyss will be working on balancing those Absolute skills. There's also a new UI in the works, remastered graphics, and a new zone!

Lastly, a new zone was announced, known as Dreagan. It is a new region to be added, after Kamasylvia. Pearl Abyss stresses party play, and dragons. Current time slate is early 2018. Plus, new servers to underaged players will be added, were players 15 or older will be able to play, separate from the other servers, and can move to the "adult" servers once they meet the age requirement. These servers are scheduled to open on December 21st.
