Pearl Abyss Reveals More Information About Crimson Desert In A New Video

crimson desert horseback forest bannerAfter unveiling the first Crimson Desert preview video at The Game Awards last week, Pearl Abyss shares more information about the upcoming game in a new feature video on IGN. In the video, Executive Producer Daeil Kim talks about last week’s reveal trailer and shares a few more details about the game’s visuals, environment, combat, and the single player campaign.

In the single player campaign, players will take on the role of MacDuff, a mercenary fighting to reclaim his home amidst the various factions fighting for dominance in the Pywel continent. According to Kim, players will constantly find themselves on the move as they discover new villages and meet the locals that need their help. He also touched on fishing and gives fans a quick look at the Time Dungeon, a mysterious time-warped instance that Kim says will have some significance in the game.

As for combat, the video offers a quick look at several boss fights, puzzle solving, and some sort of signaling feature. The video also shows enemies dropping their weapons which can then be picked up the player along with a preview of some of the Taekwondo and wrestling moves used by the main character in combat.

Unfortunately, the developers have yet to reveal any information about what the MMO part of the game will be like. We’ll probably know more as development continues on the game. In the meantime, you can check out the new feature video below.
