Pearl Abyss Announces Three New Games, Preps For Shadow Arena CBT Later This Month
Remember Project V? That cute Digimon-ish family MMORPG that Pearl Abyss teased back in March? Well, Pearl Abyss has just revealed the game’s working title in a recent press release. Project V is now DokeV, “a collectible MMORPG for all ages.” The DokeV team is headed by former Black Desert Online Animation Director Sang-young Kim and former Black Desert Online Game Design Director Suh Won Choi.
Aside from DokeV, the studio also announced two other games currently in development: a three-faction open-world fantasy MMORPG called Crimson Desert and an exosuit shooter called PLAN 8. Minh Le, co-creator of Counter-Strike is serving as Technical Advisor for the upcoming shooter.
Pearl Abyss will be releasing more information, along with the official trailers for all three games, during the studio’s press conference at G-Star 2019 on November 13th at 8pm PST.
Meanwhile, the studio is gearing up for the start of closed beta testing for their Black Desert Online battle royale standalone game, Shadow Arena. CBT registrations are now open on the Shadow Arena official site with closed beta testing planned for later this month.
