Path Of Exile Sets New Player Concurrency Record Following Siege Of The Atlas’ Launch

Path of Exile has hit a new peak player concurrency following the release of its Siege of the Atlas expansion last week. The expansion’s launch also seems to be one of the smoothest launches in the genre this year as Grinding Gear Games reveals:
“Over the weekend, we launched Path of Exile: Siege of the Atlas. We’re pleased to report that deployment was extremely smooth with no major issues! We also hit a new record for peak concurrent players at 270,260!”
If the PC launch is any indication, console players should also see a significant increase in numbers when the expansion launches on the PlayStation and Xbox family of consoles on February 9th. Meanwhile, the Boss Kill event is now live, giving veteran players a chance to earn various rewards.
Event details can be found on the Path of Exile official site.
