Path of Exile Launches Blight Expansion, Launching on PS4 and Xbox on September 9
Grinding Gear Games released the Blight expansion for Path of Exile yesterday and its scheduled to launch on consoles on September 9th. As with previous Path of Exile expansions, the game's playerbase rocketed from a pre-release average of ~9000 players to over 50,000 and a peak of ~74,000 on Steam alone on launch day.

With the new expansion of course comes a new league - the Blight Challenge League. Key features of the new Blight expansion include:
- 3 revamped balance archetypes (Necromancer, Poison Assassin, and the Mine Saboteur)
- new skills and support gems
- new items (including uniques)
- 2 old leagues being integrated into the core game
- Blight infested late game maps
- New oils which can be used to enchant accessories
