Path of Exile Gets Complaints About New $30 Kirac’s Vault Paid Battle Pass

Grinding Gear Games is currently getting flak from the Path of Exile community following the release of a paid battle pass called Kirac’s Vault Pass. The battlepass runs alongside the free challenge system, offering additional rewards for completing various bonus objectives found in the game world, assuming, of course, that you’re willing to spend $30 on it.

The rewards themselves aren’t pay-to-win and mostly consist of cosmetics and skins. That being said, most complaints are aimed at the battle pass’ contents not being worth the $30 price tag and the fact that the skins can only be used with specific unique items that are extremely difficult to come by, even for hardcore veterans. The release of the battle pass has also reportedly affected the in-game economy with rare maps tripling or even quadrupling in price.

The new battle pass was introduced with the release of Patch 3.17.1 yesterday. The patch also comes with dozens of small and medium fixes and improvements to the new Archnemesis League and Siege of the Atlas content.
