Path Of Exile: The Fall Of Oriath Adds Six New Story Acts Later This Year

Path of Exile has been going strong for a while now, but the most recently released expansion may be the most obvious sign of that. Dubbed "The Fall of Oriath," the new expansion will introduce not one, not two, but six new story acts that culminate in your return to Oriath and subsequent "final stand."
The expansion will include a new system called "the Pantheon system," which will allow players to literally wield some of the power of the gods. "Pantheon powers" will give players various defensive bonuses that can be swapped out while in town.
Also included are the obligatory set of new skill gems, "unique items," and more.
Following the announcement, developer Grinding Gear Games announced a new type of Challenge League called the "Legacy Challenge League," which starts on March 3rd with the release of Content Update 2.6.0. As the company puts it, the game is moving into a "new era" and they want players to be able to look back and "celebrate Path of Exile's history." Players will be able to choose from a wide variety of challenges from past Leagues, as well as "mix and match them." Each Legacy Challenge League will also have its own "self-contained" economy.
The Fall of Oriath is currently set to enter Beta in "late April" or "early May." The full release is scheduled for June or July. You can find more information on here or simply watch the trailer embedded below to get an idea of what's in store.
