Pantheon: Rise Of The Fallen Auctions NFT-Minted Artwork To Raise Funds For Development

pantheon rise of the fallen nft minted art bannerVisionary Realms is looking to raise money to fund the development of Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen by selling NFT-minted artwork. For those who are unfamiliar with the term, NFT or Non-Fungible Tokens are used to place value and certify the authenticity of a digital artwork, among its other uses in the cryptocurrency realm.

The studio has opened a new cryptocurrency storefront starting with three unique digital art pieces for auction, two of which have already been sold as of this writing. The team assures fans and backers that no in-game items will be sold through the new online store and that all the money raised will go directly to funding the upcoming high-fantasy MMORPGs development.

The community, however, has voiced its concerns about the new NFT storefront on Twitter, saying that it’s not a good look for the company due to the negative impact of cryptocurrency mining on the environment.

“It's really just about testing the market,” responded the studio. “If there's a market there, we'd be doing a disservice to the game's production by not exploring it. If there isn't, then that will become clear quickly and there would be no point in doing more.”
