Pantheon Livestream Shows Off First Gameplay Footage

It has been two years since Visionary Realms announced Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen and we are finally able to see how the game is shaping up thanks to a Twitch livestream. Those interested can watch a full hour and forty-one minutes of classic MMORPG-styled "Pre-Pre-Alpha" gameplay.

It's still early days for Pantheon, but the game appears to be shaping up into the spiritual successor to EverQuest that a certain portion of the MMORPG audience has been clamoring for. The graphics and interface need a bit of work—and I personally thought that gameplay looked a bit slow—but they clearly have a game that is slowly coming together. It will be interesting to see how the game's core gameplay evolves over the course of its development.
