Palia Announces The Start Of Closed And Open Beta Testing In August

Singularity 6 is gearing up for the start of closed beta testing for its highly-awaited cozy MMO, Palia. The closed beta test is scheduled to kick off on August 2nd with an open beta following shortly after on August 10th.
The studio describes Palia as a “first-of-its-kind” multiplayer community simulator set in a vast colorful world that offers a unique blend of adventure, community-building, and relaxation.
“Palia builds on beloved community sim gameplay mechanics, such as farming, crafting, player and housing customization, and quest exploration by adding a meaningful story, as well as progression and social systems akin to what’s typically seen in MMO games,” Singularity 6 said.
“These multiplayer mechanics, such as a persistent shared-world and an evolving world story, are streamlined to put a greater emphasis on community engagement and developing meaningful in-game connections. Players will work together to hunt, fish, garden, forage, and more as they unravel the secrets of Palia’s always-evolving adventure and meet new friends to help along the journey,” the studio added.
The team will also be running an invite-only stress test on July 25th. If you’re looking to join the other 600,000 hopefuls clamoring to get into the upcoming tests, you can throw your name into the hat by signing up on the Palia official website. Note that both the closed and open beta tests will be exclusive to those located in North America and Europe, but the team promises to open it up to more regions soon.
