Paladins Introduces New Character And gen:LOCK Crossover Battle Pass, Hi-Rez Unveils New Logo
Hi-Rez Studios’ multiplayer hero shooter Paladins gets a new addition to its roster with the debut of Rei, the Scholar of House Aico. Rei is a support character who can use her Spirit Link ability to help teammates absorb damage and heal them for a sizeable amount of HP.
“When Rei left her warren in The Burrows, she pointed her ears towards the pursuit of a mastery of magic beyond any living being’s. Her quest led her to the seat of the Ruby Throne, where she found the means to achieve her ambitions. She strives to harness with even greater control and power the chaotic arcane forces that run throughout the Realm and bind it together. The Scholar of House Aico pursues perfection, and she will throw the book at anyone who gets in her way.”
The update also introduces the game’s first-ever crossover battle pass featuring skins from Rooster Teeth Animation’s gen:Lock animated series, including Valentina Kinessa, Kazu Zhin, Chase Victor, Yasamin Lex and Cammie Maeve. Cammie’s skin is unlocked for free upon purchase of the battle pass. Players can also instantly unlock the battle pass rewards by purchasing the Buy All option for 1500 Crystals or roughly $38.
Meanwhile, Hi-Rez Studios have rebranded themselves as simply Hi-Rez and have unveiled a new company logo and slogan: “Victory. Together.”
