Pagan Online Official Launch Scheduled For August 27th, Full Release To Feature Massive Updates And New Features
Pagan Online is ready to make the leap from Steam Early Access to full release next month. According to a press release by developer Mad Head Games and publisher Wargaming, the fantasy hack and slash action RPG will be making the jump on August 27th bringing with it a whole host of updates and improved game systems based on player feedback gathered during its brief stint in Early Access.
“Since we began closed alpha testing 10 months ago, Pagan Online has been constantly evolving with the help of our players,” said Mad Head Games Chief Creative Director Uros Banjesevic. “During our 4 month run in Early Access we have implemented massive changes and amazing new features and mechanics to deliver the best possible 1.0 experience at full launch. It is going to be, literally, a different game.”
The full release will feature the full eight-act story campaign with new zones and two new bosses and two new playable characters: Elden and Hector.
- Elden - A quick and nimble dual-wielding ice construct with high attack speed, capable of slowing and potentially freezing enemies with each slice.
- Hector - An agile scrapper who specializes in everything fire. His weapon of choice is blunderbuss and he uses dirty tricks to set the battleground ablaze.
Players can also look forward to Fabled Weapons, the Schools of Magic gear sets, new skill trees, and revamped loot drop and crafting systems. The game’s price tag will jump from $19.99 to $29.99 when the game officially comes out so now would be a good time to grab the game if you’re interested.
Fans attending this year’s Gamescom in Cologne, Germany from August 20th to August 24th will get to try out the game’s official launch version ahead of the pack. The exclusive Decimator dragon pet will be up for grabs for players who try out the game at their Gamescom booth. If you don’t want to fly out all the way to Germany, you can also get the Mighty Mut brave raccoon pet by simply logging in to the Early Access version of the game during Gamescom.
