Overwatch Passes 30 Million Player Mark

More than 30 million players have charged into Overwatch according to the game's official Twitter page. We get a GIF of Reinhardt to celebrate the occasion. Keep in mind, that's not an active player count, but refers to registered players. Which means, if you've played but since uninstalled, then you count towards that 30 million milestone.

Still, it's a big deal: a momentous achievement for any game and it's clear Overwatch is going strong, despite some lag in salesâwhich is to be expected. The recent announcement that the game will be free-to-play for a month in China may bring a healthy boost to the number of global players.
For comparison, Rocket League scored 25 million registered players back in January, and recently hit 30 million earlier this month. Overwatch is poised to rocket past Psyonix's zany title, considering Rocket League released in May, 2015, while Overwatch came out in May, 2016.m over.
Overwatch's growth is far from over.
