Overwatch Competitive Play Releases Today

Overwatch's Competitive Play finally releases today. Nobody knows the time yet. PC player are receiving the patch ahead of their console counterparts: Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Peasants can expect a patch sometime next week—no exact date has been revealed.

Blizzard did state in the official forum announcement that they intend to release patches across all platforms on the same day in the future.

The first season will be short, lasting two months instead of what will be a standard three. Summer Competitive Play technically began on June 01, 2016. Season one will conclude on August 18, 2016, leading into the Fall 2016 season after a two-week recess.

I've been waiting for Competitive since day one. Got to secure those bragging rights.
