Overwatch 2 Is Getting Review-Bombed Following Its Official Steam Release

Overwatch 2’s launch on Steam and the release of its PvE-centric Invasion update ended up being a huge disappointment, to say the least. The game is being review bombed and has received “Overwhelmingly Negative” reviews on the platform from over 66,000 users less than 24 hours after it launched.
Most complaints are aimed at the game’s allegedly “predatory” microtransactions, unrewarding battle passes, broken matchmaking system, and, of course, the controversial scrapping of the promised PvE content.
Meanwhile, players now have access to three new story missions, the new Flashpoint PvP mode, a new Underworld co-op mission, an updated progression system, and the new support here Illari.
“What sets Illari apart from other support heroes is that she has a very damage-focused kit, so that you can heal your team while dominating the opposition,” Blizzard said. “Her solar rifle fires a beam of sunlight that can do powerful burst damage at long-range, or use it to heal allies around you.”
You can watch Illari in action in the her official gameplay trailer below.
