Opening Up The Book Of Monsters In Aion
Update 5.4 for the PvPvE fantasy MMORPG Aion is set to go live on May 4th. The update comes with new armor set options, two 384-player city defense battlefields, and the Book of Monsters. Last week, NCSoft previewed the Sanctum and Pandaemonium battlefields, this time they’re introducing the Book of Monsters.
“The new Book of Monsters will guide you on your journeys through Nosra and Esterra from now on and highlight how many examples of different monsters you defeat during your adventures. Every entry in the book can be extended up to 5 levels and for every level you have to defeat a certain number of the corresponding monster.”
Defeating the required number of monsters in the book will reward you with additional experience. The book also contains the location of specific monsters if you’re having a hard time tracking them down.
In other Aion news, NCSoft held a wing design contest last year where the top three player designs will be immortalized in the game. The wings will soon be available for purchase on the in-game shop.
