Nvidia Says They Removed Activision-Blizzard Games Due To A ‘Misunderstanding’

nvidia geforce now devices bannerLate last week, we reported on Activision-Blizzard’s sudden decision to pull all their games from Nvidia’s recently-launched game streaming platform, GeForce Now. Today, Nvidia admits that it was all a misunderstanding and that it was an error on their part.

According to Bloomberg, Activision-Blizzard agreed to participate in GeForce Now’s beta test but wanted a commercial agreement before proceeding with the partnership. Nvidia, however, thought that the agreement would still hold during the 90-day free trial for its founders.

“Activision Blizzard has been a fantastic partner during the GeForce Now beta, which we took to include the free trial period for our founders membership. Recognizing the misunderstanding, we removed their games from our service, with hope we can work with them to re-enable these, and more, in the future.”

We’ll let you know if and when Nvidia and Acti-Blizz reach another agreement.
