Novaquark Shows Off Multiplayer Dual Universe Gameplay

Worried that Dual Universe may end up becoming the next No Man's Sky? Fear not, for, in an exclusive video sent to MMORPG.com, Novaquark shows off a minute of multiplayer gameplay. Watch as some players walk around on platforms while others fly ships in between said platforms.

The video came with some new details about the game. Due to the game's "Dynamic Space Splitting" technology, which doesn't distinguish between planets and player-made structures, an infinite number of players can all be present on a single construct. Because of this, ships that require large crews are made possible. Furthermore, players are attached to moving constructs, each of which "represents a free reference frame." They move relative to the construct they are attached to, thus eliminating the "jitter" that might otherwise occur during movement. Constructs can also be attached to each other, providing the same benefits to their movement.

Dual Universe is currently on Kickstarter. As of this writing, there are 12 days left and Novaquark has raised $426,078 of its $561,419 funding goal.
