Visually, No Man’s Sky is already remarkable as it is. Hello Games, however, felt that it could still use a bit of touching up, hence the new Prisms update. The update introduces numerous visual improvements to the game, including more detailed biomes, reflective surfaces, refraction, better and more realistic lighting, reworked hyperdrive warp effects, and more.

Aside from enhancing the game’s visuals, the Prisms update also introduces a cleaner and more streamlined Appearance Modifier UI, new exotic creature companions, fur for creatures, movable freighter bases, and various improvements to the Bytebeat Synthesizer, which now allows players to save their own personal track library and use them as a custom soundtrack while exploring the vast sci-fi universe.

You can get a sense for the new improvements in the Prisms update trailer below. You can also head over to the No Man’s Sky official site for more info.
