Nexon Reports Q3 2017 Earnings - Highest Q3 Ever, DFO Continues to Grow

Nexon filed their Q3, 2017 earnings report today and it showed ~$533 million in total revenue for the quarter. Nexon's 2 biggest markets are China and South Korea with 46% of revenue coming from China and 39% coming from South Korea. Nexon boasted that while the launch of Lawbreakers in the U.S. "experienced difficulty" the company reported its best Q3 ever in terms of revenues and profits. Dungeon Fighter Online continues to be a bright spot for the company with Revenues, Average Revenue Per Paying User, Paying Users, and Monthly Active Users all increasing year-over-year.

South Korea performed well for Nexon this quarter as well with year-over-year growth for Heroes of Incredible Tales, Hide and Fire, and MapleStory. The mobile game Overhit is setto launch on November 28th as well.

MapleStory 2 is scheduled to launch in China sometime in Q4, 2017. While this doesn't mean the game is making any progress in English, it'll be the first launch of MapleStory 2 since the game originally launched in South Korea. Perhaps a Western version is next?

Take a look at Nexon's Pipeline of games. I'm personally excited for Final Fantasy XI Mobile and MapleStory 2, but neither game has made much progress over the last year.
