Nexon Is Handing Dragon Nest NA Over To Eyedentity Games On September 27th

We missed this news when it was originally published, but Nexon will be handing over Dragon Nest's North American service to the game's developer, Eyedentity Games, on September 27th. According to Nexon, the in-game community has dwindled "to the point where [it] can no longer service the game"
Eyedentity sent out a press release today announcing the final details of the transfer. Existing players will be able to seamlessly transfer their characters to Eyedentity's service if they agree to said transfer by September 27th at 8 AM PDT. While character data will be transferred, Guild and Marketplace data will not. All players who agree to a transfer will be given "various cool items and benefits."
Nexon's Dragon Nest servers will be going offline at the transfer agreement deadline on September 27th. Eyedentity's servers will come online on September 28th and the new official Dragon Nest NA website will go online at this address at that time. For the time being, you can find more information on Eyedentity's global website.
Dragon Nest has had somewhat of a rough year. The European service was transferred to Cherry Credits back in March and now, the developer is taking over as the publisher of the North American service. With any luck, no further service transfers will be necessary and fans of the game can continue to enjoy it without having to worry about the future of their characters.
