New World Rolls Out Fixes For Ability Spamming Exploit And Various Bugs

New World had a good run without exploits of any kind popping up, but all good things must eventually come to an end. That also applies to exploiters as the issue will soon be fixed once Update 1.5.6 rolls out after today’s scheduled maintenance downtime.

The update is a small one but it comes with several fixes for annoying bugs such as disappearing quest givers, crests, and Void Destroyers in Invasions and the Tempest Heart Expedition. It also fixes an exploit that allowed players to infinitely spam abilities with no cooldown. The developers didn’t go into detail about how the exploit was used but it’ll hopefully be fixed in the next few hours. You can check out the full patch notes here.

In the meantime, Amazon Prime subscribers will be able to claim a free New World furniture pack via the Prime Gaming website as part of the annual Prime Day sale. The pack can only be claimed until today along with other in-game goodies for selected games and 32 free games, including Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Star Wars: Republic Commando, Need for Speed Heat, and more.

New World Update 1.5.6 downtime will begin at 11 PM PT (6 AM UTC) on July 12 and includes additional quality of life fixes.
