After a short delay, New World Update 1.0.4 is now live with fixes for various War exploits and other War-related issues.

“Update 1.0.4 is primarily focused on fixing the top issues our players have been hitting in recent weeks, especially those impacting wars,” said Amazon. “Notable fixes include resolving the AoE magic effect War exploit, the issue preventing players from being able to appropriately increase their Faction token cap, and beginning work on addressing issues causing invulnerability. We’d like to thank you for your patience as our team continues to work on resolving the issues.”

With the preliminary fixes in place, the team has also brought back the Outpost Rush 20v20 PvP game mode. The team has also re-enabled Server Transfers following a short test on the US West servers.

Meanwhile, there are reports that the patch has inadvertently broken the Auction system. According to this Reddit thread, offline players aren’t getting paid for their sell orders. Partially sold stacks, however, can be cancelled to recover the missing gold. Offline players are advised to login and cancel their sell orders or cancel them before they log off.

Amazon is aware of the bug and are currently working on a fix that will be deployed as soon as it’s ready. Affected players will have their missing gold and items returned once the fix goes live. The team is also investigating a bug where players are being prevented from transferring to another server because of active contracts even when they’ve all been closed or are unable to cancel them. A fix is currently in the works and item/coin refunds will be given when appropriate.
