New World Temporarily Disables Gold Trading Due To Another Duping Exploit

Amazon Game Studios just can’t seem to catch a break as enterprising New World players discover yet another gold duping exploit. In response, the devs have temporarily disabled currency transfers between players until they’ve thoroughly investigated the bug.
“We are aware of a possible gold duplication exploit that has been circling and we are temporarily disabling all forms of wealth transfer between players (ie. sending currency, guild treasury, trading post, player to player trading),” announced Amazon on the official forums. “Any player that has engaged in the use of this exploit will be actioned against. Once the gold duplication exploit has been investigated and we are ready to turn on wealth transfer again, we will update this post.”
According to player reports, the exploit takes advantage of lag and other connection issues to duplicate gold during trades. The aforementioned bug is the latest in a seemingly never-ending list of bugs and exploits that player have unearthed since the highly-awaited survival MMORPG launched last month and the community is now calling for harsher punishments for players caught repeatedly abusing bugs.
