New World Announces Server Merges As Rise Of The Angry Earth Rush Dies Down

The launch rush for New World’s Rise of the Angry Earth expansion has inevitably died down and its now time for the traditional merging of the servers. Amazon is now preparing to merge six servers into four existing ones across the Central EU, US-West, and South American regions.

Here’s the list of affected servers:

Central EU

  • Fornax and Delphinus -> Hercules
  • Felis and Antares -> Canis

US West

  • Leo -> El Dorado

South America

  • Phoenix -> Devaloka

“These worlds were made with the intent of handling the sudden influx of new and returning players to Aeternum and would return back to the aether once they were no longer required,” Amazon said.

The list initially included nine servers but Amazon decided to leave the US-East and Asia Pacific servers as they are for the time being in response to player feedback. “While future population changes may prompt reconsideration, we acknowledge valid points raised over the last day and will keep them in mind if/when the time comes for re-evaluation,” the studio conceded.

Preparations for the upcoming server merges are already underway with character creation and transfers already disabled on all affected worlds. Wars have also been cancelled on the retiring servers and all associated fees have been refunded.

The servers themselves will be disabled on November 27th and all affected characters and companies will automatically be transferred to their new servers. Companies that own territory and players who transferred to or from the same servers that they’ve been merged with will also be granted refunds.
