New World’s Population Holds Strong But EU Servers Might Be Due For A Merge

Now that the mad rush to get into the New World fresh start servers has died down, the population has understandably dipped quite a bit but it looks like the game is still doing a whole lot better than before the Brimstone Sands expansion and the new servers came out.
Steam Charts shows an average daily peak concurrency of around 75,000 players although the European servers have seen a bigger decline in population over the past few weeks. As such, Amazon Game Studios is now looking into possible server merges in the region, the details of which will be revealed as soon as the studio finalizes everything.
In the meantime, you can learn more about the 17th century MMORPG’s lore in Episode 2 of Amazon’s new Forged in Aeternum developer video series. You can check that out right down below.
