New World Kicks Off Luck Of The Bones Event As Summer Medleyfaire Ends

Summer festivities have come to an end in New World as Amazon Game Studios concludes the Summer Medleyfaire and ushers in the Luck of the Bones event. The new event tasks players with hunting down an NPC named Rafflebones and taking all of his loot, which includes umbral shards, obsidian gypsum, mutation boss trinkets, fortune hunter items, and more.

“Find portals, summon Rafflebones, and snatch Legendary rewards in Luck of the Bones,” announced Amazon. “The elusive loot collector, Rafflebones, will have his unpredictable spawns guaranteed at any of the numerous portals throughout Aeternum. Best of all, its rewards are even better than usual.”

The Luck of the Bones event will run until August 29th, which gives you roughly two weeks to gather as much loot as you can. Note that you’ll only be able to obtain loot from Rafflebones up to three times a day. You’ll also need to deal a certain amount of damage to earn rewards.

Meanwhile, the latest game update also fixes some issues with treasure chests, seasonal activity cards, and quests, and made several adjustments to arena death persistence and fish spawns. The full patch notes on the New World official site offers up all the juicy details.
