New World Kicks Off Touring Aeternum Video Series With A Preview Of Windsward

With the New World beta fast approaching, Amazon Game Studios is eager to show off several key locations in the game in their new Touring Aeternum video series. First up is Windsward, a lush region located in the south of Aeternum.

Windsward Town is the main settlement and is located in the center of the region with a small river running through it. The small town is home to various NPCs and houses a forge and outfitting station where players can craft weapons and gear that they’ll use when out exploring beyond the safety of the town’s walls.

The Amrine Temple, a massive walled structure built by the ancients, is located to the north of the town. Various treasures and rewards await adventurers who are strong enough to take on the dangers within. The temple is the site of one of the game’s Expeditions, New World’s version of instanced group dungeons.

To the northwest lies Windsward Fort where factions can fight it out for control of the entire region. The main gate is heavily defended with cannons, repeaters, and ballista turrets. The rear of the fort, however, has fewer defenses and has small hidden entryways that small groups of aggressors can use to enter the fort.
