New World Talks Up Territory Wars, Tax Changes, And Upcoming War Improvements
Territory Wars is one of the marquee features of New World and one of the key drivers of PvP in the 17th century open-world MMORPG. In Amazon’s latest Forged in Aeternum video, Creative Director David Verfaillie and Social Feature Lead Dan Henuber talk about the recent updates to the feature and how the recent tax changes have impacted the game overall.
The developers also teased upcoming changes to Territory Wars including the introduction of PvP leaderboards and changes to how factions declare war on one another. These changes are meant to ensure that defenders have ample warning ahead of a battle to set up their defenses before the opposing faction starts breaking down their gates.
