New World Delays Fellowship & Fire PTR Testing Due To A Last-Minute Bug

Yesterday, Amazon announced that it was switching New World over to a seasonal content model starting with its upcoming Fellowship & Fire update. That update was supposed to be headed to the public test realm today but has now been delayed due to a last-minute bug discovered during internal testing.
The team didn’t give specifics about the said bug nor a timeline for when they expect it to be fixed but promised to share more information as soon as they can.
“Unfortunately, the PTR will not be available today, February 23rd due to an issue that was discovered late in testing,” Amazon announced on the official forums. “We are working hard to get this build into players hands as soon as possible and we will provide an update in this thread with more specifics about when the PTR will open as soon as we are able.”
In the meantime, you can learn more about the changes and new content coming in Fellowship & Fire in our earlier news piece and in the developer update video below.
